Recognizing Academic Excellence

Students are recognized each semester for their academic achievements in a whole school assembly.  Students are called down to the gym floor, given a certificate, congratulated by administration officials and dignitaries and recognized by their peers for a job well done.

Decorating Tim's Tree

Each December students bring holiday ornaments to school to help decorate "Tim's Tree" planted in honor of Tim Parks, a student who passed away while attending TMS.  Students honor his memory by donating ornaments, having hot apple cider, and joining to decorate his tree located outside the TMS library.

Thankful and Athletic

Near Thanksgiving each year students take part in a race to celebrate Thanksgiving as well as physical fitness.  Students race members of their own grade level and hope to win prizes in the end of the race raffle.

Parents Visit the Campus

Multiple times during the year the campus is open to parents and grandparents who join their children for lunch.  A wide variety of food visit the campus as students and parents spend lunch together.  A great way keep parents involved with the school, their children and their children's friends.

Parents Learn About the Upcoming Year

Each September parents are invited "Back to School" to meet their child's teachers, learn about curriculum and hear about the upcoming year from school faculty and administrators.

Prepping for Finals

Each semester students and teachers join together to prepare for upcoming final exams.  Free hot cocoa is a highlight as students join their teachers after school to go over study guides and answer questions to make sure everyone is prepared for the end of the semester exams.

Blessing Those Who Bless Others

Santa and his elves make a visit each December to several students in each grade level that have go out of their way to bless others.  Santa's elves put on a dance routine and Santa and Mrs. Claus bring treats to these special students.

Donating Hair for Cancer Patients

For several years now students at TMS donate a minimum of 8 inches of their hair for wigs that will be made for cancer patients.  Donating to Children With Hair Loss, students have their hair cut by local beauticians during lunch time in front of their peers.

Firefighter Stair Climb

In support of our local first responders students at TMS climb the THS stadium stairs with our first responders.  TFD climbs the same number of flights that fire fighters climbed in the twin towers.  Physical Education students climb right alongside them.
